Stork's came out same-day when our AC stopped working in the middle of a Texas heat wave. The technician was on time, explained everything clearly, and had us back up and running within a couple of hours. Couldn't ask for better service.

Outlets and switches are the part of your electrical system you touch every day, and they are where age shows first: plugs that fall out of loose receptacles, two-prong outlets that will not accept modern cords, bathrooms with no GFCI protection, and power strips filling in for outlets that were never there. Stork's Home Services installs, replaces, and upgrades outlets and switches throughout Dallas — from a single dead receptacle to bringing a whole house up to modern protection standards. Licensed electricians, free diagnostics, and upfront pricing on every job.
Receptacles and switches wear out like anything else. Here is what tells you it is time:

Replacing a device costs little more than the device itself once an electrician is there, so it is the perfect time to modernize:
Ground-fault protection shuts power off in a fraction of a second when current leaks — the difference between a scare and an electrocution around water.
Arc-fault protection detects the dangerous arcing of damaged cords and loose connections that ordinary breakers miss — a major fire-prevention upgrade for bedrooms and living areas.
Built-in shutters block anything a child might poke into the slots — required by modern code and a simple upgrade in any home with little ones.
Charge phones and tablets without a wall of adapter bricks — ideal for kitchens, nightstands, and home offices.
Schedule lighting, control it by voice or phone, and dim LED fixtures smoothly with switches matched to the load.

Here is something worth knowing before anyone quotes you: swapping a two-prong outlet for a three-prong one without a ground wire behind it is both against code and genuinely misleading — the third prong connects to nothing. There are two legitimate paths. The best is to establish a real ground, which may mean running new wire to the affected circuits. Where that is not practical, code allows a GFCI receptacle (or GFCI breaker) to protect the ungrounded circuit, labeled "No Equipment Ground" so future owners know what they have. That approach provides real shock protection even without a ground. We will look at your wiring, explain which option fits each circuit, and price both honestly so you can decide.
Stork's Home Services has served Dallas and the DFW Metroplex as a family-owned company for over 30 years, and our electrical department works to the same standard: licensed electricians, free diagnostics, upfront pricing, and no upsells. Small jobs reveal a company's character — we treat a single outlet with the same care as a full panel. Call 972-421-8000 or schedule online and we will get it done right.
